Adam Sandler
Born Adam Richard Sandler (September 9, 1966), an American actor, comedian, singer, screenwriter, musician, and film producer. After becoming a Saturday Night Live cast member, Sandler went on to star in several Hollywood commercially successful feature films. He is best known for his comedic roles, such as in the films Billy Madison (1995), Happy Gilmore (1996), Big Daddy (1999), and Mr. Deeds (2002), though he has also been noted for some more dramatic roles. In 1999, Sandler founded Happy Madison, a film and television production company that has produced numerous films and developed the 2007 television series Rules of Engagement.
In 2014, Sandler topped Forbes' list of Hollywood's most overpaid actors for a second consecutive year, nudging out Johnny Depp and Tom Hanks for the dubious honor, the magazine said on Tuesday. Although Sandler's 2013 film "Grown Ups 2" was a hit, pulling in $246 million at the global box office, it didn't go far enough to make up for the his previous flops, "Jack and Jill" and "That's My Boy." According to Forbes, for every $1 Sandler was paid, he returned an average of $3.20," the lowest return on investment of any actor whose record the magazine examined.
