Surfing competition held annually in Waimea Bay, Hawaii. The competition will only take place if waves are 20 feet or higher, and this stipulation has resulted in the competition being cancelled in all but 8 of the 25 years it has been running. The competition is named after a local surfing hero and lifeguard, Eddie Aikau.
