neoclasicismo
An artistic movement dating roughly from the mid-eighteenth century to the early nineteenth century. It sought to revive the aesthetics of greek and roman antiquity, but differed from previous revivals of the classical past in that there was a deliberate effort to copy and imitate objects and interiors of the ancients, especially those found in rome, pompeii and herculaneum.
