satélite

Un objeto fabricado que gira alrededor de un cuerpo celeste, ya sea en una órbita geoestacionaria o de manera polar. Parte de la información que es recogida por los satélites meteorológicos, tales como GOES9, incluye la temperatura del aire y la humedad alta, el registro de las temperaturas de las nubes, la tierra y los océanos, vigilar el movimiento de las nubes para determinar la velocidad del viento superior nivel, rastrear el movimiento de el vapor de agua, el control del sol y la actividad solar, y transmitir los datos de instrumentos meteorológicos de todo el mundo.
