levadura de cerveza
Alimento nutritivo producido como un subproducto de la industria cervecera. Después de 5 a 10 fermentaciones de cerveza, la levadura ya no se considera aceptable para elaborar cerveza. Posteriormente, la levadura se seca y se procesa para que sus enzimas se vuelvan inactivas. La levadura de cerveza es consumida como suplemento nutritivo por su alto contenido en vitamina B y proteínas. La levadura de cerveza no debe usarse para la elaboración del pan.
